John M. McLaughlin, 18, a New Yorker who had played on the St. Louis University freshman basketball team, died in Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle from injuries he had suffered in a car-truck crash Wednesday. McLaughlin’s teammate, John H. Dolan, 18, Union City, NJ remained in critical condition. - kbz
